The Gateway Art Shop Project is a project created by The Gateway to support local arts and re-purpose and fill up our store windows. We bring them to life with temporary art installations from local artists and students—using all mediums.
We’re excited to be able to offer this opportunity for artists to utilize such a unique platform!
The duration of the installation will be from mid-April through the Summer season. The theme for this season’s Art Shop Project is Botanical Bliss. From ferns and succulents to exotic blooms and trailing vines, the world of plants is vast and endlessly fascinating. Celebrate the beauty and diversity of the botanical world with botanical-themed art that brings our windows to life.We are interested in seeing innovative designs, we love the unexpected!
Along with the window, artists are invited to table at The Gateway during the monthly Salt Lake Gallery Stroll. People will be able to meet the artists behind the windows and artists will have the opportunity to sell and display their own art.
Please submit a proposal to [email protected] and [email protected] no later than 4/1/2023. Selected artists will be notified soon thereafter. Installation must be complete on or before 4/17/23.
