Juneteenth is now a recognized US and Utah State holiday that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. \nSalt Lake Juneteenth is a FREE community event – a celebration of resilience and joy! \nThis family-friendly community celebration is open to the public and will be held in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City at The Gateway. \nThe celebration will feature a Black Owned Business Expo as vendors for the event\, art exhibit\, food\, music\, entertainment\, kids’ corner\, storytelling\, and much more!
