The Gateway is proud to host the state’s largest chalk art festival put together by Utah Foster Care from June 17th-19th, 2022.

For 20 years, Utah Foster Care has partnered with local artists in presenting their annual Chalk Art Festival, all to support Utah’s foster families! Join The Gateway for an expanded celebration featuring world-renowned 3-D chalk artist Julie Kirk Purcell and Foster Families of the Year. The free, family-friendly festival takes place June 17-19th and features the interactive Kids Korner and more than 100 artists creating one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Salt Lake City’s unique community of artists is bursting with energy and creativity, and ready to give you the experience of seeing art spring from the streets and into your imagination.
