The ILLUMINATE SALT LAKE Festival is a free community art event and a celebration of innovation and imagination for art lovers, and families. The festival features installations by more than 30 artists, live music and performances, kids activities, a kids short film fest, interactive light art demonstrations, virtual reality arts displays and much more!
ILLUMINATE is a first of its kind Projection Art & Technology festival in downtown Salt Lake City. This free event invites the community to explore our city in entirely new ways and to see it in a whole new light, by illuminating our history, culture and community through art and technology.
Artists working with technology and creative industries will use the city’s unique architecture as a blank canvas. They will create large projection artwork for everyone in the community to enjoy and experience a shared sense of place. Additional performances, music and light art installations will be placed around the downtown area creating a city wide light museum accessible to everyone!
