NEW ART AT THE GATEWAY

New Outdoor Artwork Springs Up at The Gateway

Vibrant new art installations have been added to The Gateway’s expanding outdoor gallery. Including new murals, hanging installations and Art Shop Windows, there’s a variety of new art to explore and experience!

FOLK FLOWER CROSSING – Designed in collaboration with Smock and Roll, this cheery new street mural was inspired by folk motifs and features a bright color palette. Located in the center of The Gateway at the intersection of 100 South. Crossing the street has never been so delightful, make sure to snap a photo when strutting across the pavement adorned with flourishing flowers.

UMBRELLA POP – Featuring hundreds of umbrellas hanging high in the sky. See the dazzling array of colorful umbrellas which will provide shade for those enjoying the many outdoor seating areas on the south end of The Gateway in Restaurant Row. On view now for a limited time.

BOTANICAL BLISS ART SHOPS –  Walk down Rio Grande Street and explore our new “Botanical Bliss” themed windows throughout the property. Eight local artists were selected to create unique window displays celebrating the beauty and diversity of the botanical world. Windows will be on display now through August.

INSPIRATION WALL – Artist Tiffany Dewitt’s inspiration behind the new “Inspire Wall” was to show that everyone has an impact- whether big or small. Your biggest inspiration could be a famous face from history, or it could be your grandmother or your childhood teacher. What better way to honor and remember those who mean so much to us than to write their name and share their story:) I hope people will sign and share their stories across social media so we each can inspire one another to make a positive impact somewhere in the world. The Inspire Wall will be located on the north end of the center at the Olympic Legacy Plaza.

About the Artist: Tiffany Dewitt is a mural artist based in St. George, Utah. She has painted over 30 murals all across Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. Outside of art, she also enjoys spending time with her husband and two girls. You can see more of her art on Instagram @colorbrushco.

LAURA HENDRICKS “DREAM PORTAL” STAIR MURAL

Inspired by The Gateway itself, Laura Hendricks drew inspiration from The Gateway itself, as a place to “access” or “enter” a space. The stairs are her canvas making the mural interactive, you can get up close and personal, sit, walk and stand on this innovative piece of art.

About the artist:  I love creating perspective and illusion in my work. Whether I’m collaging photos, layering materials, or painting murals, I love to bring attention to beautiful skies or landscapes by framing them in a way that makes them feel extraordinary.
