A sustainable art exhibit is ready to reopen and welcome visitors after five months of rebuilding.

Dreamscapes, put together by the Utah Arts Alliance, will reopen Feb. 14 at The Gateway in Salt Lake City, marking a homecoming for the exhibit.

Last May, the exhibit was booted from a Sandy mall after Smith Entertainment Group announced it had bought the property and planned to build a practice facility for its Utah Hockey Club.

Dreamscapes repurposes recycled materials into art and receives donations from various partners, like convention centers. The arts alliance said it has repurposed over 68,000 pounds of material.

“This new chapter introduces interactive experiences for all ages, reinforcing our commitment to innovative art forms and community engagement,” Derek Dyer, executive director of the alliance, said in a new release.
